Welcome to Voice Writer Innovations
Continuing Education for Court Reporters
Receive 5 to 10 hours of continuing education credits in one day as you learn about technological resources for your court reporting career. Voice Writer Innovations will provide you with sound, easy-to-comprehend instruction on the latest products available and show you how to derive the greatest benefit from them while minimizing costs ― from updating your recording system and expanding your knowledge of productive software to moving into speech recognition and realtime.
We understand that as a court reporter your time is valuable. In an effort to minimize your travel and maximize your time, we make every attempt to bring our seminars to you. Check our calendar for a location near you.
CE VS. CEU
Licensing boards monitor their licensees’ continuing education credits in two different ways: continuing education credits (CE) and continuing education units (CEU). One CEU (0.1) is equivalent to ten CEs (10). Regardless of the form of credits your licensure requires, Voice Writer Innovations can accommodate you.
THREE-YEAR CREDIT CYCLE
Your licensing board may implement a three-year credit cycle. If you are limited to this cycle, a course in which you have acquired credits may not be repeated until after three years has elapsed.
NUMBER OF POSSIBLE CREDITS
Voice Writer Innovations offers courses in sessions of 5 contact/physical hours. Two 5-hour sessions may be offered in one day. Participants may select 5 or 10 contact hours. Each contact hour equates to 1 CE or .1 CEU.
LOCATIONS
The southeastern United States encompasses the vast percentage of voice writers in the country. Recognizing that a large number of voice writers practice in the Southeastern U.S., VWI selects venues in the populous locations. If you are interested in VWI conducting a seminar in your state, please e-mail your request to info@voicewriterinnovations.com. VWI requests a minimum of 25 participants.
SUBMITTING CREDITS
Voice Writer Innovations will submit your NVRA credits for you. To verify your credits have been submitted and received by NVRA, you may check your CE Status.
For state submittal of credits, a submittal packet containing your certificate of completion, agenda, course description, and course evaluation will be distributed to you on the date of the seminar for CE submittal to your licensure.
When submitting your credits, please be aware that many licensures require submittal within 30 days of the date credits were issued. Please submit your credits in a timely manner.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations are permitted up to fourteen (14) days prior to the event upon written notice. Due to financial obligations incurred by VWI, 80 percent of registration fees will be refunded. No refunds will be issued on cancellations within fourteen (14) days of the event. To request cancellation, please submit Cancellation Request via postal service, fax, or e-mail.
ACCREDITATION ACCEPTANCE
Voice Writer Innovations’ continuing education course credits are accepted by the associations listed below. If your licensure is not indicated, you may contact your licensure for Individual Request for Credit forms for CE approval review.
